I work on a new field that allows scientist to generate stem cells from each individual's blood and then to create models of the human brain in a dish, something that was considered science-fiction when I took my first biology classes.

I greatly value the opportunity to engage with peers, share our work, and inspire the enthusiasm of emerging young scientists. 

I love learning, and I am intrinsically curious. By far the most rewarding part of the job is engaging in scientific discussions about data with my colleagues and members of my team.

Engaging in stimulating scientific discussions with scientists from various fields and learning new things every day motivates me. I find it very rewarding when other researchers build on my experiments or conclusions.

ISSCR is a wonderful international community of colleagues. Science has no borders and scientists are in many ways able to cut across political boundaries, and admire and learn from each other no matter where we live and work.
